Ford negotiator wins accolades

In five intensive days, without a single table-banging incident or raised voice, Stacey Allerton Firth quietly became the newest Canadian industrial relations idol.
In reaching a deal with the Canadian Auto Workers, on behalf of
Ford Motor Co. of Canada Ltd. earlier this month, Ms. Allerton Firth won accolades not only from the corporate community, but from none other than Buzz Hargrove, the hard-nosed leader of the CAW.
