Nearly one in four Canadians considered alcohol dependent also battled depression, a new Statistics Canada report suggested Wednesday. As well, the findings indicated that alcohol-dependent women were twice as likely as men to have been touched by the black dog – a term used by Winston Churchill to describe depression.
