Bonds vs. psychics

Why is it so hard to trade a bond? If you don't believe me, call your bank, broker or financial planner, and tell them that your auntie died and left you a corporate bond, say a Loblaw Cos. Ltd. bond due in 2028, with an interest coupon of 6.45%, and you want to sell it and need a price--now! Assuming you get past several "don't bothers," someone just might give you a firm price.
